At #CWIEMEBerlin2025, our founder, Davide Bettoni and Daniele Nocciolini, PhD from IMA AUTOMATION shared the stage to present a new perspective on stator production for e-mobility.
Title — “Redefining e-Mobility Manufacturing: Continuous Formed Winding (CFW) as a New Paradigm in Stator Production”.
The session focused on both the design goals and production advantages of Continuous Formed Winding (CFW). From an R&D standpoint, the technology aims to maximize motor efficiency and power density, while enabling high-speed and high-efficiency operation. Together with IMA AUTOMATION, we showcased the P4 platform: a concrete example of how advanced motor design and an industrial-grade production process can converge to deliver precision, scalability, and performance. CFW merges the precision of hairpin windings with the simplicity of inserted coils, reducing welds and improving thermal behavior, assembly, and overall system efficiency. Additionally, the streamlined production line requires fewer stations, which lowers both investment and maintenance costs.
Thank you to CWIEME for the opportunity, and to everyone who joined the session in Berlin.
Looking forward to driving these innovations forward.
